About Me

Howdy! Thanks for checking out my photography portfolio! While you’re here, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I started my photography journey after traveling internationally for the first time, a three week honeymoon across Europe. Armed with a waterproof point-and-shoot camera, I was amazed at the beauty of Europe’s historic architecture and the storytelling opportunities while visiting these amazing places. When I came home, I picked up a Canon EOS T6 and I’ve been taking photos ever since.

My early photography was mostly landscapes and cities, but then I expanded over to portraits so that I could join my wife in-frame as we traveled (instead of me always being behind the camera). Being able to capture myself on camera really taught me how to choose my scene and lighting carefully, and piqued my interest in capturing the emotion and story of portraits.

Today I love to shoot a variety of subjects, especially food. When I broadened the types of photos I took, I started to pickup different techniques and styles, which has helped me craft my work in the most personal and unique way that I can. Every photoshoot is full of potential and new stories, and I want to capture those stories for you!

Philosophy

Before each shoot, I like to get to know my clients and really understand what they’re looking for and make sure they’re comfortable on photoshoot day. For portraits, I like to bring a portable speaker and play the music that gets you feeling good.
